The Asia Dengue Summit welcomes the submission of abstracts for original contribution to the field in the following topics:

  • Field Epidemiology for Dengue
  • Implementation Science (Integration of research into public health policies and practice, monitoring and evaluation programmes,etc)
  • Dengue Surveillance
  • Dengue Vaccine Development
  • Dengue Vaccine: Preparedness and Implementation Strategies
  • Cost Effectiveness of Vaccine Intervention
  • Dengue Education Programme
  • Dengue Control and Diagnostics
  • Vector Control
  • Virology
  • Others: Please specific

If your abstract does not fit under any of the specified topics above, but you believe it would be relevant for the conference program, please let us know by emailing to secretariat@adva.asia

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES – POSTER

  • All abstracts must be submitted in English and shall not exceed 250 words (not including title, author names and affiliation).
    Type single-space in MS Word format using Times New Roman, 12-point font in the box provided.
  • Scientific abstracts must contain data (either quantitative or qualitative) and report research results.
  • On the abstract submission form, indicate the following information:
    TITLE: The title must be brief and indicate clearly the nature of the investigation.
    AUTHORS: Enter all authors in the order they should appear. Underline the presenting author. Enter initials followed by last name, for example, WK Lam.
    INSTITUTIONS AND COUNTRY: Enter the institutional affiliations and country. Only two institutional affiliations will be allowed per author.
  • Use the following headings for your abstracts:
    Background: should describe the context and importance of the study and state the objective(s) of the study.
    Methods: should include a description of the methods used considering study design, setting, population, measures, and analytic procedures
    Results: should describe the results in sufficient detail to support the conclusions. It is not satisfactory to state, “The results will be discussed” or “Other data will be presented”. Abstracts that do not provide actual results may not be considered for presentation
    Conclusion: should state the implications of the findings for clinical practice, research, education, or policy. References and credits should not be included.
  • Abstracts will ONLY be accepted, upon receipt of registration and payment for the Asia Dengue Summit 2024. Please indicate your registration ID in the abstract form.
  • There are no restrictions on the number of abstracts you may submit. If more than two abstracts are accepted from one investigator, one of the co-authors must make any additional presentation.
  • Presenting authors will be informed of the details of poster presentation by 15th May 2024 . Organisers reserve the right to amend the notification of acceptance date.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend or change any part of the submission guidelines without prior notice.
  • Submission Deadline: 1st May 2024
  • Notification Date: 15th May 2024
  • You are also required to create a short video to share about your abstracts (1 min video) if your abstract is accepted by the scientific committee.

 GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Submitting an abstract for presentation in the Asia Dengue Summit 2024 does not constitute registration for the Conference. Abstracts will ONLY be accepted, upon receipt of registration and payment for the Conference.
  • There are no restrictions on the number of papers you may submit. If more than two papers are accepted from one investigator, one of the co-authors must make any additional presentation.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee and other experts in the field.
  • The abstract content is the sole responsibility of the authors. Abstracts will not be edited for spelling, grammar or content.
  • Notifications of acceptance and whether the abstract is selected for presentation will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author by 15th May 2024.  Organisers reserve the right to amend the notification of acceptance date.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend or change any part of the submission guidelines without prior notice.
  • Accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings. The Conference Managers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by Internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.
